Mexican Trucks

Well It seems that the Bush administration is bound and determined to undermine the wishes and desires of most of  the American people. Today ( April 4th) it is reported that Bush will go ahead with his plans of allowing Mexican trucks to start traveling unimpeded throughout the United States. This is being fought by most trade unions and even the Congress. It seems that Bush figures he only has two years left and the hell with what we as a nation want, but what BIG MONEY wants. As I look back

on his two terms, I can see a pattern of this written on all of his policies.

This trucking program is to be implemented by the end of this month. Although this is said to be a "pilot program", I can't help but think of what Jerome Corsi said in an article in WND, in which he states , and I paraphrase, that the current administration knows that this program is like toothpaste, once it's out of the tube it's hard to get back in. Once we let the trucks start rolling, even an act of Congress will be hard pressed to stop it. It's like the Mexican immigration problem we have today, the genie is out of the bottle. The immigration debacle can't be stopped and the powers to be have no earthly idea how to successfully deal with it. So we end up with a lot of talk and debates but no real action.

Representive Duncan Hunter R-Calif., has introduced the NAFTA Trucking Safety Act, which is designed to block the above pilot program until current FMSCA regulations regarding Mexican trucks operating beyond commercial zones along the border are clarified and strengthened. It seems that truck safety is at the heart of their concerns. But it seems that Bush wants to implement his plan before these laws can be enacted, ( and some people think Bush is dumb).

I don't know who really pulls the strings in this administration, but they are certainly sly and cunning. The Powers To Be want a North American Union and they are hell bent on getting it. For reasons unknown to my feeble mind, to compete with the European Union, the U.S. has to bring in countries from the South to help us out in this commercial competition. Well that may be fine and good for BIG MONEY, but for all us average citizens, it may not be good.

When one of us average people get hit by one of these Mexican trucks, by a driver that can't speak English, can't read English, and has no insurance, what are we goin to do? I've had one experience with a Mexican driver that had broken down, and being a former truck driver, stopped to see if I could help him out. Well first of all, we could not communicate, as I don't speak Spanish and he, not speak English. So, it was a Helen Keller scene for sure. Lots of hand signals, and wondering what in the world each of us were saying. Finally he showed me what his problem was, which I could do nothing about. I can't fix a broken yoke on the drive train, so I took him to a nearby convenience store where he could call someone to help him.. It seemed that he had used his cell phone till the battery was dead.

I don't have any answers to this problem, but I surely am concerned that the Bush administration is going to allow these trucks to be able to drive freely throughout the country. As I stated above, being a former driver, I know what comes out of Mexico and it's not only commercial goods. At most any truck stop in America, if you want some "go fast", you can find it. From the reports of arrest of some of our southern neighbors, lots of them have vast quanities of speed in the new form, which is meth...This is not the same ole speed that was around when I was on the road. All we could get was the black mollies, ( as they were called), which you took and then wondered if you were really being helped by them. I only remember them making your head itch... Now meth is a completely different thing. I've heard and seen drivers staying up for days on end, and to boot, they get crazier than a crap house rat.

I know that when these trucks start to roll over America, I'll have to wonder if the truck I'm looking at is from Mexico, and has the driver been awake since he left Mexico City a week before...

Just something to think about.............................
